As you may be aware, the winner of the inaugural Penderyn Music Book Prize was announced during the Laugharne Weekend festival last April. The winner was Mark Lewisohn for his extraordinary book, ‘The Beatles - All These Years: Volume One: Tune In’.
It's hard to know where to begin with the story of Penderyn Distillery in 2014 with so much going on at the distillery and with our family of brands.
Christmas is almost here and for some of you who will be shopping in the Cardiff and Talbot Green area this week there may be a treat in store for you.
Yes – Christmas is on its way and whilst we are sure that most of you, like us, are only just thinking of putting together a Christmas shopping list, there are some who are rather more organised.
2013 has been a busy and productive year here at Penderyn. As you might have read in the press we have spent a lot of time setting up our expansion plans for the distillery and having built stock and relocated our bottling line from the main distillery building to our annex warehouse, we commissioned Penderyn’s second whisky still in August 2013, almost 13 years after the first was installed back in September 2000.
"But I do like a Merlyn" says Victoria Moore wine correspondent for the Telegraph
It’s nearly Christmas, and that should mean two things: reflecting on all that you’ve achieved this year and dropping not-so-subtle hints to loved ones about what you really want in your stocking come the 25th. Today, we’re launching a competition that should help you achieve both aims: tell us what good deeds you’ve done this year to be in with a chance of winning a bottle of our finest whisky!
You don't need to be a whisky expert to guess that the busiest time of year for a whisky distillery is the run up to Christmas, and Penderyn is no exception - each year, we work hard to get our quota of whisky out.
