Our Christmas Twitter competition

It’s nearly Christmas, and that should mean two things: reflecting on all that you’ve achieved this year and dropping not-so-subtle hints to loved ones about what you really want in your stocking come the 25th. Today, we’re launching a competition that should help you achieve both aims: tell us what good deeds you’ve done this year to be in with a chance of winning a bottle of our finest whisky!

If you think your heroic deeds are enough to earn you a bottle of Penderyn this Christmas, we want to hear why. What’s more, we’ll make sure that the best entries are suitably rewarded. To enter, send us a tweet @PenderynWhisky with the hashtag #PenderynPlease. For example, one of our distillers might tweet:

@PenderynWhisky I deserve a bottle of Penderyn whisky because I’ve spent all year distilling it! #PenderynPlease

Entries can be serious or light-hearted and you’ll get bonus points for being creative – we’d love to see a photo or even a video of your good deeds! We’ll pick our five favourites, who will win the following:

First prize: A 70cl bottle of Penderyn Portwood 41 plus a Penderyn tasting set containing samples of three Penderyn expressions
Second prize: A 70cl bottle of Penderyn Madeira Finish
Third prize: A 70cl bottle of Penderyn Red Flag
Fourth prize: A 70cl bottle of Merlyn Cream Liqueur
Fifth prize: A Penderyn nosing pack containing two 5cl Penderyn samples and a branded tasting glass

Due to the fact that we want to deliver these before Christmas, this one’s UK only (tip: if you’re abroad and want to enter, take a look at the competition running on our Facebook page). If you don’t have Twitter, you can sign up for an account for free at www.twitter.com. We’ll be choosing our winners on Monday 17 December so make sure you get your entries in by 23:59 on Sunday 16 December 2012.

Good luck – we can’t wait to see your entries!

I have really spoilt my dear wife this year and because I refused to buy a dishwasher I have had to do all the washing up, serves me right I suppose for being so mean not buying a dishwasher. Never mind I've got very soft hands. Hands that do dishes are as soft as my face.
