The Penderyn Music Book Prize

The shortlist has been announced for the inaugural Penderyn Music Book Prize, the first UK based prize specifically for music titles (history, theory, biography, autobiography).

Penderyn Music Book Prize was launched in London on 2nd March, and the judges include Shane MacGowan of the Pogues, folk singer Beth Orton and punk poet and BBC6 DJ, John Cooper-Clarke.  The prize, sponsored by Penderyn Distillery, will be awarded at this year’s Laugharne Festival on 12th April.

M.D. Stephen Davies said “Good stories, music and the finest single malt go hand-in-hand, and therefore Penderyn are delighted to sponsor this exciting new prize.”
