
Following exceptional industry and international reviews, Penderyn Distillery scooped three Gold Awards in recent competitions.

"When the Penderyn Distillery began distributing its single-malt whisky in 2004, expectations were not that high. After all, it was the first time whisky had been distilled for mass distribution in Wales in over a century. Also, the age of the whisky was just four and half years.
But the lesson here is that whisky doesn't have to be old to be good, or even great. Penderyn has not only been racking up the accolades, but it has added expressions that have been largely applauded and recognized as some of the best small-batch whisky in the British Isles, and the world."

A fresh campaign to make St. David's Day a bank holiday is being supported by Welsh Whisky distiller Penderyn.

Penderyn Distillery is celebrating ten years of distilling with the release of a special edition whisky – Penderyn Bourbon Single Cask 2000-11. Bottled from one of the first barrels produced by the distillery, this is the first Cask Strength Bourbon finish Penderyn Distillery has released.

Penderyn Single Malt, Brecon Gin and our other spirits are now widely distributed in Spain and Portugal by family owned company, Central Hisúmer. Founded in 1887 and run by the De Fabregat Family, Central Hisúmer, as well as distributing fine spirits, also make a range of Spanish Wines and Cava and have orange and lemon groves at Orihuela, just south of Alicante. The company offers the widest range of premium Single Malt Whiskies throughout Spain and Portugal.
