Penderyn Bourbon Single Cask Limited Release

Penderyn Distillery is celebrating ten years of distilling with the release of a special edition whisky – Penderyn Bourbon Single Cask 2000-11.  Bottled from one of the first barrels produced by the distillery, this is the first Cask Strength Bourbon finish Penderyn Distillery has released. 

With just 210 bottles produced, the whisky is bottled at cask strength of 61.2% and presented in a hand-made American white oak box.

Clean, ethereal and fresh! A mixture of fruits, both tropical and home-grown are obvious. Mango, pear, banana and Cox's pippins laid on a bed of vanilla oak and garnished with the merest hints of creamy toffee.  In the mouth sweetness leads into the fruit compote followed by vanilla and caramels with touches of refreshing bitterness. On swallowing a clean and fruity aftertaste leaves us thirsting for more. A light delicate single malt all the way through with a long finish.
