St David's Day in Mumbai - February 2009

The British Business Group (BBG) in Mumbai kindly agreed to allow International Business Wales celebrate St. David’s Day in Mumbai at their month meeting held on 2nd March 2009.

Two bottles of Penderyn whisky were auctioned for £75.6 (Rs 5,500 each). The bidding started at £27.5 (Rs 2000) and members responded to the auction with great enthusiasm. The proceeds will now go to the Mobile Cancer Van in memory of Parveen Aga (ex-secretary of BBG who died of cancer).

Dr Kant Singh, Vice President International Business Wales- India was asked to introduce International Business Wales and give an overview of St David’s Day. Dr Kant gave the attendees a background to Penderyn single malt Welsh whisky and its fine quality and taste.
